"Tristaca McCray Day in San Diego"

On July 19th 2016 our CEO and Founder Tristaca McCray received a proclamation in the city of San Diego, CA presented by Supervisor Dave Roberts.

WHEREAS, Tristaca McCray is the founder and Executive Director is NERDS RULE INC, a 501(c)(3) organization that is committed to helping develop and strengthen teens and young adults throughout San Diego County who desire strong foundation to build a purpose filled life.

WHEREAS, Tristaca McCray is a champion for suicide prevention. She is certified in Mental Heath First Aid; Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and serves on the County of Suicide's Suicide Prevention.

WHEREAS, for all the hard work and leadership, Tristaca McCray has been recognized by the San Diego Urban League as an "Inspired Leader under 40 fir tomorrow: and

WHEREAS, Tristaca travelled to Washington, D.C. from June 13 through June 15, 2016 where she attended the United State if Women Summit and was recognized by Frist Lady Michelle Obama as a "Change Maker" for all of her incredible work in the community: and

WHEREAS, the County of San Diego is committed to recognizing and honoring those individuals that are dedicated to the best ideals of public service, and Tristaca McCray is one such worthy individual: NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT PROCLAIMED, by Chairman Ron Roberts and all the members of the San Diego Board of Supervisors on this 19th if July, 2016, that they commend TRISTACA McCRAY for her outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the health and well-being of county teens and young adults, and do hereby declare this day to be "TRISTACA McCRAY DAY" throughout San Diego County.
